Why We Self Sabotage

I’m sure if you’ve tried to change something in your life, you’ve experienced self-sabotage at some point.  Often with the client’s I work with this looks like trying to change the way they eat, but not being able to stick to their plans and finding themselves eating foods that don’t make them feel good.  This can be so frustrating when we don’t understand what’s underneath the self-sabotage.  We know we want to change, but can’t seem to stick to it and then often throw in the towel and think we’ll always be this way, or struggle with that.  Well sister, I’m going to shed some light on why we self-sabotage in this blog post. The Important of Acceptance

The Importance of Acceptance

Acceptance is a key piece to the healing journey when it comes to your relationship with food and your body.  When we start looking underneath the food we begin to uncover parts of ourselves we’ve been pushing down for years.  These are parts of ourselves we feel we need to hide.  They make us feel uncomfortable, anxious, perhaps even angry.  We fear others seeing these parts of ourselves because we think they will reject us.  We think these parts of us make us unlovable. Why Identities Block Transformation

Why Identities Block Transformation

You might not even realize it, but you’re likely attached to an identity.  Do you ever say, “That’s just the way I am” or “I’ve always been this way?”  Do you believe the way you are is something you can’t change?  When we put ourselves in a box because of past experiences or who others have told us we are, we develop an identity and this will block our transformation. 33 Things I Learned In My 33rd Year: Part 2

33 Things I Learned In My 33rd Year

I shared part 1 of this post on 33 Things I Learned In My 33rd Year last week.  With so much learning and growth, I’m excited to see what my 34th year will bring.  I intend to go deeper into what I’m learning.  Deeper into my connection with my body and intuition.  Deeper with my connection to my inner child and higher self.  Deeper into feeling my pain.  Surrender will help me let go so I can experience this depth.  I’m actually starting this year out attending a retreat to do all of this at the end of the month. 33 Things I Learned In My 33rd Year: Part 1

33 Things I Learned In My 33rd Year

Today is my 33rd birthday and being right around the new year, it always leads to reflection of the previous year.  This past year has been an immense year of learning and growth for me.  I did my 200hrs yoga teacher training, worked with a psychologist and am 7 months into a certification which will allow me to help women as a coach to stop binge eating, by doing spiritual development work. This year I finally went deeper than mindset and began the process of peeling back the layers to get closer to my the core of who I am. I wanted to share 33 things I learned in my 33rd year on this planet. Continue reading “33 Things I Learned In My 33rd Year: Part 1”

My Word For The Year Of 2018 Is Surrender

My Word For The Year Of 2018 Is Surrender

Each new year I choose a word to set my intention for the year. This is my third year doing this and although I’ve never been into resolutions, I enjoy having an intention to come back to throughout the year.  I’ve chosen growth and connection in the past.  This last year was an immense year of learning and growth. I went the deepest I’ve ever gone into peeling back the layers of who I’m not and it’s just the beginning.  My birthday coincides closely with the new year so I’ve written a 2 part post on all the things I’ve learned, which I will be sharing next week.  Something that’s come up time and time again this year and with this work, is the need for me to surrender and release all control. So, going into 2018 my word is surrender. I want to fully surrender to the flow of the universe and let myself be divinely guided. Continue reading “My Word For The Year Of 2018 Is Surrender”
