33 Things I Learned In My 33rd Year

Today is my 33rd birthday and being right around the new year, it always leads to reflection of the previous year.  This past year has been an immense year of learning and growth for me.  I did my 200hrs yoga teacher training, worked with a psychologist and am 7 months into a certification which will allow me to help women as a coach to stop binge eating, by doing spiritual development work. This year I finally went deeper than mindset and began the process of peeling back the layers to get closer to my the core of who I am. Do You Need To Set Boundaries With Yourself?

We’ve all heard of setting boundaries with others so they don’t walk all over us and we fall into the people pleasing trap.  Been there, done that, still working on it!  But, have you ever thought of setting boundaries with yourself?  Sometimes we might feel resistance around doing something we know will make us feel better.  Other times we just find we struggle to actually put that thing into action and start that meditation practice or get that movement in.  Setting boundaries with ourselves keeps us accountable and helps us start to shift habits that don’t serve our best interest. Self-love is a hot topic these days and for good reason! The problem is, I’m noticing some confusion over what self-love really is. I recently had someone contact me asking me if I was interested in joining their self love challenge. This person went on to explain that the self-love challenge included workouts, a super flexible meal plan with portion control containers, superfoods meal replacement shake, as well as support and accountability. Are You A Self-Sacrificer?

You may think that’s a funny question, but self-sacrificing, also known as people pleasing is contributing to your struggle with food. The more I dig into the inner work for myself, the more I can see how much of a people pleaser I’ve been over the years. I can also see how much this has truly affected me in a negative way.
