Blended Matcha Latte
The weather has been hot here and I’m not complaining! Our summers in Alberta are too short anyways, and I love hot weather. I would prefer to be by a lake or river when it’s this hot, but my Blended Matcha Latte is a great alternative to help you cool down. This recipe is simple and quick to whip up, when you’re in need of something frothy and cool.
This recipe contains just 3 ingredients plus ice cubes and water, which everyone has on hand anyways. I’m not a coffee drinker and never have been, so tea has always been my choice of beverage. Matcha is a favourite because it’s loaded with nutrients and antioxidants. You can read more about it’s goodness in the blog post for my Chocolate Matcha Cups.
I used raw honey to sweeten my Blended Matcha Latte but you could use your favourite sweetener in its place. I like stevia and maple syrup as well! I used a heaping 1/2 teaspoon and found it had just a touch of sweetness, which was perfect for me. If you prefer yours sweeter, feel free to add more of your choice of sweetener as well.
I realized I only have two other recipes in my beverage section, so wanted to add to it. This recipe isn’t extravagant by any means, but it sure hits the spot! Sometimes the simple recipes are the best. I don’t always have the patience to spend hours in the kitchen, unless I really have time. When I do, I rather enjoy it! These days though, things need to be quick!
