So many women fall prey to the eat less and exercise more message that tells us we’ll lose weight and get the “body of our dreams.” I put body of our dreams in quotations because well, that’s subjective plus screw off already with the messages telling us our worth is linked to our physical body. Discovering that exercising more and eating less was not helping me lose weight, negatively affecting my health and not making me happy was the turning point that made me really look at my body image and relationship to food. It was the catalyst that finally helped me start the journey of breaking free from disordered eating and learning to love my body.
